We started raising registered Angus Cattle in 1997 and, marketed our bulls through the South Montana Angus Association. We always strived to constantly improve our herd. While doing research in 2016, we came across the Black Hereford breed. In 2017 we decided to raise Black Hereford cattle.
We didn’t simply buy some Black Herefords, we developed our own bloodlines of Black Herefords. By breeding only our very best Angus cows to the finest Hereford bulls, we feel we’ve developed an elite line of Black Herefords which are total outcross genetics to any other Black Herefords available.

There are many advantages to Black Herefords that include docility and fertility. But by far the greatest advantage to using Black Hereford is Hybrid Heterosis. It doesn’t matter what breed of cattle your herd is comprised of. By using Black Hereford bulls, you will see the positive effects of a crossbreeding program – and that equated to heavier calves at weaning time. For commercial producers, that means bigger paychecks.
